Confessional Friday

Doing my first "Confessional Friday" via a link-up with A Blonde Ambition

I confess that I did not really work out, skipped yoga and ate horrible this week due to being ill : (

I confess I was only able to cook one night this week. Being sick and pregnant normally means eating a bare minimum for dinner. We did taco night last night easy, yummy and the kids love having control over their meals.

Speaking of cereal, since I didn't eat much of the "taco night"... I confess may or may not have had a bowl @ 11:45 p.m. in bed, while reading.

I confess I am obsessed with my new Kate Spade diaper bag that I got in the mail last week! I got it for their 75% end of Summer sale. It made my day week when I saw the sweet promo in my inbox. I was tempted to fork over too much for a different similar one, glad I waited. It includes a changing pad as well.

I confess I am starting to become obsessed with coupons and sales. Except at the groceries, odd.. no patients I guess, baby steps! I'm starting to not be able to buy anything unless I have a coupon or it is marked down. Maybe its the maternal instinct kicking in?

I confess I am SUPER excited for my baby shower next Sunday!

31 weeks

How far along? 31 Weeks.  Will be 32 tomorrow! This was taken Wednesday 31.4 wks
Maternity clothes? Everything Maternity!
Stretch marks? No fingers crossed it stays that way!
Sleep:  When I start the process it takes 1.5 hr for me to get comfy and after I eventually stop making my 6-7 bathroom trips. Then up around 4:30-5 am for the bathroom.
Best moment this week: Maternity pics and a massage tomorrow! This week I have been sick (head cold) so not my favorite week by far.
Miss Anything? Being comfortable
Movement: Tons and she responds to me when I talk to her or move her around :) She has been having hiccups a few times daily. ..cute but I feel bad, hiccups are annoying when you have them!! I am just ready to cuddle her.
Food cravings: Nothing because I can't eat and be comfortable still!
Anything making you queasy or sick: Steak
Gender: GIRL
Labor Signs: No and lets keep it that way
Symptoms:  Acid Reflux/gerd, pinched nerve, sore back, restless leg...shall I continue?
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On. I have freakish skinny feet and fingers so even if swollen they are probably considered "normal" right now.
Mood: This week has been rough from my cold. Not the best mood week! Worst week since morning sickness days.
Looking forward to: Getting rid of this cold, Labor day weekend and my baby shower next Sunday !!!

Happy long weekend/Labor day friends! We are going to do some boating and R&R. Hope you are able to enjoy yours : )

Homework with Triplets

Homework with triplets...need I say more?

The trips are now in second grade, week one was over last week, so its game on homework gods! Let the good times roll.

Having three in three different classes means a nice variety of work load and a side of triple tasks (and triple germs). We were smart separating them right?! You know for social developing, independent skills, growing as an individual....not throwing them all together (like they are at home and summer 24/7) to make all of our lives easier.

This is the first week they were sent home with spelling. I sang HALLELUJAH when I saw that they were all the same letters, no seriously. HALLELUJAH. In the past they've had all different words each week so it made for even longer homework nights.

When I quizzed them tonight we had a perfect score, minus four, and minus seven. Talk about different levels!

The Mr. was telling me the other day that the perfect scorer is going to be the valedictorian. She is always raising her hand to go first, help with everything and a know it all. I can't say I don't agree.

You can guess which one was the only one to make sure to help paint baby's room!

I feel bad when they are hard on themselves and compare themselves to the other siblings. Therefore, we will gladly continue their separation schedule even if it drags us down a bit. What matters most is that they grow into their own beautiful respectful selves and are happy with who they are!

Weekend Recap

Friday the Mr. had his annual corvette run to Elk Creek Winery. I love the beautiful scenery this winery has it is quite breathtaking, very romantic. It is Kentucky's largest winery and we feel lucky to live near by it. My favorites are their white wines not so much their red, I think they do better white due to our climate. If you are a wino and you see them in your local wine shop I suggest their pinot grigio and some of their flavor wines such as the blueberry. They also have a small shallot to stay in as well, we still haven't stayed overnight yet but plan to sometime in the future. The Mr. and my father-in-law organize a fun "corvette run" every year with all of their friends who own corvettes . They usually take the scenic back road route, hit the winery for lunch and of course enjoy some wine. To conclude the run, they head to one of the friend's man cave hunting playhouse barn close by for a drink. I opted out this year since wine and long low corvette rides don't really go well with pregnancy.

Men and their toys! Father-in-laws is the first white one, ours is next to it. Wondering if we can trade it in for a horse?!

While the Mr. was off wining and dining I picked up the trips from school and we treated ourselves with a manicure and ice cream! I thought it was the perfect day to do so, us girls were going to celebrate the first weekend off from school. They were so excited when I told them the plans stating it was "The best day ever!" (which we have heard about a zillion times but love it each time).
Showing of their manis and ice cream staches!

Also, the final trip lost her two front teeth! The other two had lost theirs over the summer and now she is joining them. Very sad they are growing up so fast, baby diva better grow reallllly slow!
Two front feet gone!
Saturday we took full advantage of the pool since it is closing next weekend. Sad to see it end already but I am ready for fall in a serious way! Colder weather, football, colder weather, pumpkin everything, colder weather, baby girls arrival, crock pot cookin' and did I mention colder weather?!? This has been the hottest summer ever to be pregnant, I am so sick of seeing 90s in our forecast! What is your favorite/s thing about fall?
The trips favorite pool game hanging on Daddy any manner they can. Daddy needed the Adult pool break after an hour of this game!

My mom also came over Saturday evening for a visit and small grill out. She sounded like she had a rough week so I had asked the Mr. to grill his famous steaks for us. I guess since the little diva and I are growing and growing, I am having a more difficult time eating big meals because I was miserable after dinner! My Dr told me to snack throughout the day and don't eat after 6 p.m. This is hard since my family are "dinner people". I guess I will cook it for them and eat my cucumber salad and crackers, boo! After that miserable night I went and got a pillow wedge to help with the gerd/heart burn at bed bath and beyond so I hope that helps! It feels like a painfully full thanksgiving dinner every time I eat.

Sunday the Mr. bought all the painting supplies and started little divas room! This made for a very happy wife.

Mr. painting baby diva's nursery

Goodbye office & Palm Trees!

I feel like things are really starting to come together. We have most of the major items, just need to have the shower to see what else we need. Here is a picture of just a few presents from the ups man who is a regular visitor around the Easton house lately.

Stroller, car seat, car seat hook up to stroller, baby bag (which will get its own post I am so excited), and ok maybe a pair of fall boots for momma!
We also had to say goodbye (for now) to our favorite show Tru blood! Sad panda here, how will I live without a hot vampire fix each week?!  Looking forward to the fall tv line up and the new shows airing. What shows are you most looking forward too? We need to add some more into our rotation, I have a feeling I won't be able to move soon.

Trubies forever ;)

Nursery Inspiration

Painting weekend has arrived! Hallelujah! Sherwin Williams is having a 30% off sale on all their paint this weekend so we decided to wait to purchase. Sadly, our furniture is not going to get here till mid November. Therefore, I will not have the finished room shot for some time now, even little diva will be here before her furniture! She will be sleeping by her momma in a co sleeper for a few months anyway. The best part of her nursery is that it is a "room within a room" in our master bedroom. The previous owners turned the fourth bedroom into their office in their room, it has double doors and everything. Great for a nursery, she will always be close by!

Here are some of my inspirations and things I have already purchased.
Davenport furniture collection in white
Little Diva (naturally!) By Glenna Jean
Grey walls with pink and white accents
We splurged a little on the bedding and furniture. The crib turns into a toddler and full size bed, so that will last for years to come. My decor is going to have to be a lot of DIY and cheapies. I think I can pull it off! So excited to give this little girl a beautiful room. If you are a mommy or expecting what were your babies colors? Any recommendations of where to find cute but affordable decor pieces?

Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by, hopefully the Mr. and I will be knee deep in paint!

Wordless Wednesday

Ok so maybe a few words. This is the trips after they completed their big brother/ big sister informative class this past Sunday. My heart melts when I see their happiness about to becoming big sisters. They kiss my belly and talk to her all the time. How lucky would it be to be born with three older sisters waiting to love you and guide you in this world?

Organizing under the stairs

Ever since we started to try for a baby (took all of one month, very blessed) I have been in total organization/nesting mode. Some would argue that nesting doesn't come till the very end (picture a mad woman with bleach in hand hitting every cm of the home, not daring to get in her way). I however, have never had this much energy to clean and organize. I have accomplished a lot since February, minus the evil months of March and most of April (my morning sickness months). I just wonder if it is odd that everything I have done practically has nothing to do with her? You know the baby who is coming in two months. She could care less what the garage or nightstand look like. I think she will be happy if I have a functioning breast and a clean dry diaper waiting.

Some things I have accomplished were having the trips closet and cloths cleaned up and donated (well before the start of the school year), our closets cleaned, donated endless bags of everything, squeaky clean garages, painted bedroom walls, repaired blinds, organized kitchen appliances, redid nightstands, replaced the solar lights outside, redecorated our sitting room and family room, and over the weekend I wanted to knock out the Holiday/misc storage under our basement steps. I wish I would have taken a before picture in there. It was like an episode of Hoarders, you could barley open the door and you could not walk in there without climbing over things. I could not squeeze my belly in there!

Here is everything pulled out

I bought a bunch of different size tubs to organize each Holiday, memory box, and misc. items then proceeded to fill and label them. Throwing away broken/unused items. I texted the Mr when I was done and told him I needed his muscles and the vacuum. He carried up around 4 loads of trash and then put in the tubs starting with non holiday then the holidays we need in order ( the garbage men must hate us this year with all the loads we have sitting out for them). The Mr. started to question me as to why there was so much garbage since it was saved under the stairs. Majority of the junk was the boxes you save at Christmas thinking you will reuse again and never do or broken junk. Unless those boxes are gorgeous gems this year, were not saving! Not to mention we had around 7 easter baskets.

Finished

Next thing on my list is the toy room closet. Having the trips go through toys they no longer play with before their birthday in September then for Christmas, also making room for the baby diva's toys!

Pregnancy survey

Now that I have my first post out of the way I am free to blog my little heart out right?! I have so many ideas and post I want to do. I think I will write them on my to-do list so I have some material for awhile.

A special thank you to A. Liz Adventures for the shout out today, she has reached 500 followers and I was her 500th. What a milestone. I think it'll take me awhile to get there, but a girl can dream!

First things first. I only have 10 (give or take) weeks of pregnancy left so here is my pregnancy survey that I have seen around Blogger.

How far along are you? 30.3 weeks

How big is the baby?: 15.7 inches long, she weighs almost 3lbs and if she were a vegetable she'd be the size of a cucumber. Maybe this is why she is creeping up in my ribs.

Maternity cloths: Usually always. If not I am in the Mr.'s tee shirts. Sometimes I will find cute stuff at non maternity stores like one of my favorites Anthropology. BTW stores LOVE to dress pregnant women with things they have that will work. Its like having a personal shopper. Also, saves a little in the money department because you can wear it post pregnancy such as a wrap dress.

Stretch marks?: No not yet and I'd like to keep it that way thank you. Although, my puberty marks on my hips came out from hiding.

Sleep: Depends on the day. Much better now that I am on Prilosec for the heartburn. I do have to visit the bathroom at least 4 times before I can fall asleep and the leg cramping/pinched nerve doesn't help.

Best moment this week: Hitting 30 weeks, there is a light forming at the end of the tunnel! Becoming a "2 week-er" at the OB, even though I usually wait 30-45 then seen for 5min. The Mr. being a good sport and going to a prenatal  partners yoga workshop with me (I go to prenatal yoga 1-2 times a week. I HIGHLY recommend it).

Movement: I am noticing actually limb movements instead of the little jabs. I am carrying very high, her feet are almost in my ribs at this point. My good friend told me it only gets wild from here on out!

Food cravings: Peanut butter anything. Breakfast food always.

Food aversions: Still cannot stand steak! Used to be my favorite. Hope we do not have a little vegan on our hands as we are a meat loving family. Mama will love her anyway :)

Labor signs: No. Develop those lungs little diva!!

What I miss: Back porch wine drinking with the Mr. and cute normal cloths, I suppose, but would not trade this for anything.

What I am looking forward to: Getting her nursery done. Will post a before/after and our inspiration. Maternity photo shoot August 29th (need to buy those props and love Pinterest inspirations of course) and my baby shower September 9th!

Back to the Basics

Hello Blog world, it has been a long time. I am ready for a fresh new place to call my own. I have been reading some awesome new blogs that have inspired me and mostly because I am 30 weeks pregnant with my first biological little diva. I'd like to capture her story of entering this world, pictures and hopefully sweet little memories my family makes for years to come (yes I am that mom)! My blog will mostly be about lifestyle, kids, and family.

I won't lie I'm not a great blogger. Maybe with age this has changed. Even though I have dabbed at blogging for years and years, made friends (some very close friends) I never felt completely inspired. I guess getting bored easily and commitment can be issues for me (don't tell my husband, totally joking babe love you). Now that I am settled down at 28, married, step mother of triplets (will get into that later), baby on the way, and a stay at home mom (for now former Paralegal and college graduate) I think I have a lot of inspiration to give this a go. I also have been nesting my little heart out which is impressing family and myself with some hidden domesticated skills.

A little background. I am 28 years old and my husband and I have been together for 5 years married for almost one, September 24th is our anniversary. I am still completely in love with him! Marriage has changed nothing, if anything it has brought us closer together. Our marriage is by no means perfect, I don't believe those exist we know marriage takes work and sacrifices. We have triplet 7 year old daughters. From the Mr.'s prior marriage, I became a young instant mom (notice their age and how long we have been together...and yes I went through the diapering years which has got to count for something) We co parent them jointly with their mother (which I plan to keep that part of the story and his past marriage private). When I am with the trips sometimes in public I love the comments "Oh no way you birthed triplets?!" Sometimes when I'm feeling hysterical or if the comment was said at an inappropriate time with envy, I say yes. Especially a few years ago when I was a few size smaller and a little less aged!

We now are expecting our new little bundle of diva love October 27. We didn't waste anytime, we already have children and we'd like to retire at a decent age while we can still move our joints, ya know? We knew all along this baby was a girl, why would it be any other way? I am so in love with her already and just cannot wait to meet her. We are pretty much an all girl family who have been called high maintenance at times minus the Mr. dude who comes home from work at night because he is a dude, didn't say he's not high maintenance. God save my husband please... four girls, a wife and a female dog (my other baby) and cat. A serious man cave is in order at the next house (as long as we get plenty of female space). God save us all when the trips are teenagers. Any advice is welcomed. I know that a ridiculous amount of space and bathrooms are in need for our next house.

If you are a past J-land blogger or a blogger in general please leave your blog address in the comments. I would love to reconnect and connect to people with similar lives and interest.

Now if I could just hire an editor and designer for this blog that would be great (did I mention that I can be high maintenance)!? Totally joking, I will have to do that job for now as this little diva in the bun has a lot of items that need purchasing for!
